I first fell in love with bonsai trees as a young child watching my granddad in his garden tending to his ‘crops’.
The passion for these beautiful trees reignited when I took a walk around the local market in my home town. An array of splendid, colourful trees lay before me on one particular stall.
Although it wasn’t until December of 2017 that I started to wonder what it would be like to have a tree of my own. With work and family commitments at that time the fleeting thought got put to one side. Until the new year of January 2018 my lovely mother brought me my first bonsai tree; a Chinese Elm. And this is where the adventure begins…
I’m in this for the long haul and very much eager to learn as I go, feeding myself with all the information available to me and using it to create and keep my own bonsai trees. A part of this journey I am truly excited about is developing the art of shaping and pruning the bonsai trees as well as the accomplishment of growing a seed into a much loved bonsai tree.
Hopefully along the way I can gain my viewers/followers trust in me as a fellow enthusiast who is happy to share her bonsai with the world. 🙂
